Trocadero Red Lettuce

A plant with a large, full head and broad leaves that are deep red in the sun-exposed parts and green in the centre. It has a delicate but intense flavour.

Rich in water (95%), vitamins, minerals (especially iodine, nickel, cobalt, manganese and copper) and cellulose, it helps combat constipation and irritation of the intestinal mucous membranes.

It also contributes to the proper functioning of the nervous system and has a refreshing, emollient and purifying action.

Anthocyanins, a group of flavonoids, give it the distinctive colour from which it derives its name, along with a high antioxidant potential, which makes it useful in counteracting the action of free radicals, which are responsible for cellular ageing and cancer.

Red Trocadero lettuce is perfect for mixed salads, combined with other lettuce and vegetable varieties.
