Green Oak Leaf

A variety of lettuce with very indented, bright green, rippled and tender leaves.

It has a sweet and delicate flavour, vaguely reminiscent of dried fruit. Rich in fibre, potassium, vitamins A and C, it also contains moderate amounts of vitamins D, E and K and other minerals (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and sulphur).

It has a laxative action and mild analgesic and sedative properties. Due to its low calorie content, it is perfectly suited for low-calorie diets.

Green Oak Leaf lettuce is particularly used in mixed salads, including sweet and sour ones.
